Paying tribute to Gabe and all the Veterans today.

On this special day, I find myself remembering my brother-in-law, celebrating his victorious and exemplary life, and praising God for how He can use one man to touch so many lives for good. "No greater love..." We love you more than ever, Hannah, Willie, and family!

I am in such awe of the men and women who daily put their lives and beliefs in protcting our freedoms and way of life in the United States. They think it's just the normal thing to do. Thank you for sharing Gabe's incridible story. He is a true hero.

I picked up the Bible tract from my church in Richland, WA. What an incredibly unselfish legacy this man has left in this world. I will make sure this gets in the hands of those in need... This is one of the most beautiful expressions of God's love that I have seen. God's blessings on you all. Always I pray for our soldiers and their families.

I just stumbled onto this website and wanted to leave a quick note thanking Gabriel, and his loved ones, for his sacrifice. I never had the privilege of knowing him, but I work with his mother, Laura - so I know firsthand where he got his strength and resilience from. Blessings and love to all the people who knew and cared for him!

The June 2011 edition of "Townhall" magazine did a nice article on you, your family and your service for our country. Thank you for your service to our country and for your ultimate sacrifice. God bless you and your family!

Gabriel, I never really thanked you for your sacrifice. I thank you now, but most of all I think you for your testimony and the legacy you continue to leave. You were a great Soldier, husband, father...Miss you bro!

Missing you like crazy Gabriel! It has been hard the last few days. You would have been 30 on Friday. For some reason this anniversary was almost as tough as your 1st birthday we honored after you were killed.

To the family of Sgt. Gabriel Deroo; We are thankful for the service and sacrifice of your son, brother, husband, father. Words cannot express our grattitude. It is sad to hear the story of a fallen hero, but we can take comfort in the fact that he is now in Heaven with our Saviour. 4 years ago today we lost you buddy. You set a great example for your fellow brothers in combat everyday. You always seemed to me like a man who has his priorities straight and his life perfect. You always put your men before you and YOU ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE A TRUE AMERICAN HERO. I miss and love you brother. Rest in Peace and I'll see you on the other side.

It is a honor to know the love Gabe had for our Lord, his family, his fellow man and country. It is an amazing love which can only be shown by God who loved us first. I pray for Hannah and little Gabe that Gabe's legacy will be passed on and it will bless their lives. Gabel's testimony lives on! I thank Caleb for sharing his brother-in-law's beautiful witness.

Gabe gave his life so that we can appreciate our freedom. May God bless him and his family forever.
